Jesus is the Head of the Church
Jesus is the church’s Chief Shepherd, under which Discover practices a shared leadership model that consists of the biblical office of Elder/Pastor (Philippians 1:1; 1 Timothy 3) of which the Lead Pastor has a unique role, a Church Board, and a Staff Team that equips the members for the work of ministry.
Pastor Ben Windle has served as the Lead Pastor of Discover Church since 2014. Pastor Ben began pastoral ministry in 2007 in multicultural, multigenerational urban cities and followed Christ to serve in communities all over South Florida.
In 2014, in a season of burnout, God called the Windles to Discover Church for a season of refreshing and renewal in the mountains before planting a church in Florida. What was supposed to be a season turned into a clear assignment. God used the church and the people to bring fresh life and a renewed call to Ben and Mallika as they fell in love with the community and it’s people.
Ben and Mallika have been married for over 20 years and they have two sons, Noah and Logan, and a daughter, Maylee Rose.
